Turkey Trot get together and meeting 11-08-09

The turkey and ham dinner at Neal & Karen's was exceptional.  A big Blue Knight thank you to both Neal and Karen for an excellent get together.

Attending today's festivities were: VP Dick Flood, Treasurer Terry Walters and Corky, BOD members Rodger and Pam Cool & Gary Pierce, Dale and Vicky Reed, John and Barb Smith, guests Gary and Chris Birka, Tom Caldwell and Mike Cate.

Meeting was called to order at 2:52 p.m.

A moment of silence and prayer was observed for those in Heaven 1.

A reminder from VP Flood that next months meeting will take place at Pat O'Neal's place.  Kent will follow-up with date, time and directions for chapter members.  We also need to know if Pat needs members to bring anything? Also, we need to find out if there is going to be a Pirates gift exchange.  Kent, will you take the lead on this?

Neal thanked everyone for attending today's get together and stated that he will be in Florida until February 2010.

Neal made a motion to send $200 from the chapters funds to the "Officer Tim Brenton Memorial Fund".  A second was made and a unanimous vote was taken in favor of the motion.  As soon as somebody lets me know where to send a check, I will do so.

Neal introduced a guest he invited, J.R. Richardson with the Monroe Police Department. J.R. is currently with the Washington I chapter of the Blue Knights and I think he is entertaining the idea of switching over to our chapter.

50/50 was held with $35.00 going to the winner (which was Neal) and $35.00 to the chapter.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
